WDM Drivers for IEEE 1394 (FireWire) Devices
Windows drivers for firewire devices are based on the Windows® operating system's IEEE 1394 driver stack. The central component of this is the operating system bus driver 1394bus.sys.
WDM Drivers for USB Devices
The lowest layer in the Windows USB stack are the operating system supplied USB port driver usbport.sys and the miniport driver usbehci.sys which supports USB 2.0 technology. On Windows XP and above there is a separate generic parent driver usbccgp.sys supporting USB composite devices. We provide hardware manufacturers with driver solutions for USB 1.1, USB 2.0 and USB On-The-Go.
HID Minidrivers
The Windows operating system supplied HID class driver exports HID collections to upper driver layers and to applications. It uses HID minidrivers to access device hardware.
Joystick Drivers
Joysticks are input devices which supply absolute position informationen. Digital joysticks, MIDI joysticks, and analogue joysticks are controlled by a joystick minidriver.
